10 of 10 people found the following review helpful. The Leviton EVB22-3PT was an extremely easy self install. I ran a dedicated 12awg with a 20 amp double pull to a 6-20R prograde receptacle in my garage. The station mounts to the wall by two options: 1) Purchase the Leviton EVK02-M Evr-Green Installation Kit for Home Charging Station (EVB22 - 16A, 240V) for a complete kit. 2) Purchase your own receptacle for $5 and use the top screw & bottom screw holes to mount to the wall. I decided to go the cheaper route and it works great. When you first plug the unit in it will go through a test cycle. This takes approximately 5 seconds to complete and you will see a solid green power LED. My Volt does not recognize that it has been plugged in as quickly as it did with the standard level 1 that came with the car but it is not more then a 7-8 second difference to get the chirp. The charge time is substantially faster then with the level 1 at 12 amps. The purchase price may seem high but is well worth it for the 3 year warranty and convenience of a faster charge time.TLDR; A great buy!

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. It's a plug and forget device. No buttons to push, no timers to set. Cord is a little thick and heavy. All settings are done in your car, and if you set it to charge after hours, the CAR tells the charge when to start.Simple pain white color. Only 3 lights, power, charge, and fault. As a charge it makes very little to no noise when charging.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.I've had this charger for about six months now and it's worked perfectly. I have a Chevy Volt and was eligible for the $499 "Voltec" charger from SPX/Bosch, but I've read horror stories about its famous (un)reliability. Further, the Voltec was 15A instead of the Leviton's 16A output. The Volt can only pull 15A but I presume my next car will have a faster on-board charger and so the extra amp means an extra 0.5kW being fed into the battery pack, which is a useful amount (15% more power). The three year warranty of the Leviton was also a nice perk. Many of the other chargers on the market require you to use their own contractor at a hefty price to qualify for the longer warranty. Not so with this Leviton. There are two downsides:1) It's hideous. Seriously. Really ugly.2) The little lip that extends to hang the charge nozzle on is oddly-shaped and doesn't stick out far enough. I've never had the nozzle/cord fall off of it but it always seems like it's juuussstt about to.I'd buy it all over again. It's really really well-made, has never given me any grief, and is guaranteed for a long time.
